Connoisseur of Crafts-Hobby Hoe Energy

The title really says it all.

Somewhere along the way, I evolved into a magpie of mixed media with a healthy side of glitter gremlin, and honestly? I have no complaints.

My husband, on the other hand, would suggest I dial back my serial hobby-starting and focus on actually finishing a project but I have serious craft commitment issues.

I like to think of myself as a purveyor of whimsy. A professional dabbler. A hyper-fixation enthusiast (thank you, ADHD). It sounds infinitely more romantic than admitting I became convinced this hobby was destined to become my entire personality..

Photography? Tried it.

Watercolor? Naturally.

Junk Journaling? Love it.

Embroidery, knitting, Canva design,  sourdough, Cricut projects, air clay, balloon arches, drawing, sewing, blogging… if there is a starter kit, there’s a decent chance it found its way into my home.

Do I master every hobby?

Absolutely not.

Do I get wildly enthusiastic, consume endless hours of YouTube tutorials, buy enough supplies to open a small boutique, and then wander off to the next shiny creative obsession?

Absolutely.

At this point, I’ve made peace with the fact that my brain craves  novelty. For me, learning and creating are wonderfully joyful. So I’ll happily keep following whatever creative whim my brain decides to chase.

So if you’re also a hobby hoe with a craft closet that looks suspiciously like the clearance aisle at Michaels, WELCOME. You’re among friends.

Pull up a chair.

Tell me what you’re making.

And if you’ve recently purchased supplies for a hobby you haven’t actually started yet… don’t worry.

This is a judgment-free zone.

Stay crafty my friends.
